My first post was about a recent business trip, so this one is about one of my passions. Last summer I met the group Heart of Surfing, who work with families who are affected by autism. Being I grew up surfing and my love for working with those who have special needs, I was on board (pun intended) immediately. I have been able to attend and photograph a few of the events they organized, and this time was invited to the Faces 4 Autism prom, at St. James in Ventnor, NJ.

What an amazing group of people. From the volunteers of all ages, to the attendees and their gracious dates, to the families and friends that came to support one another, they are all aces in my book. We got some great photos of everyone all decked out at the step & repeat, dancing the night away on the dance floor, the crowning of the prom king and queen, and even a live performance! I had such a great time, as I'm sure everyone else had, and am looking forward to getting in the water this summer with these amazing groups!

All the photos of the event can be found here.
Feel free to save, print, share, etc. as you please.
